Anaal Nathrakh are a Two-Man Black Metal/Grind outfit from the United Kingdom. I haven't really followed them since their "The Codex Necro" release (which was a stellar piece of blistering, grinding black metal). However, after listening to this I am again, hooked. "Passion" still brings the hatred found on "The Codex Necro" and adds newer elements of Progression. The Third Aeon

Normally the Traditional Doom genre isn't focused on much here at Poonangublog. However, this band takes the cake and we're fat so that rarely happens. Bad joke aside, this album is just fucking awesome. I know it's not Death or Black Metal but this thing is just amazing. I'd love this back before I even started listening to the extreme genre's of metal, like back in the day when all I ever jamed to was Black Sabbath and Metallica. Black Oath are awe inspiring Doom from Italy that'll make you headbang, spark a doob and rock out maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!

Morne is a slightly Progressive Sludge band from Chicago. Adding elements of keyboards to their already apocalyptic heavy sound creates quite the atmosphere to go along with their wall crumbling riffs. Affliction Gate are a great Death Metal band from France (not too many of those). This album came across my screen a few weeks ago and I fell in love with it. Enough of the br00tal death metal shit, this is classic Death Metal with a mordern edge and creativity unsee in the genre now-a-days. Fans of Unleashed, Bolt Thrower, Grave, Morgoth, and Massacre will love this. Though this bad boy came out in 2009 it's definitely worth your time. Enjoy!
